The Motorola V3i mobile phone - High spec camera phone with style
By: Bob Arndale
The Motorola V3i is a vastly improved version of the Razr V3, the latter is a much sought after phone, but Motorola have created the V3i and taken away many of the problems that existed with the V3 and as a result they have developed a fantastic mobile phone.
The Motorola V3i mobile phone has a sculpted metal keypad, with a brushed metal casing giving this phone a stylish and sophisticated look and while it looks similar to the Razr V3 it is in fact slimmer and there is a choice of colours. The original silver is still available, with the addition of dark blue, maroon and violet and it has to be said that the V3i delivers a rare combination of quality, design and technology.
The external screen is bright and clear with 65k colours and the external screen displays who is calling without the user having to open the phone. The phone comes with a picture caller feature, displaying on the external screen an image of the caller instead of just displaying a contact number.
The camera is much improved on the V3i and has been upgraded to a 1.23-megapixel digital camera that has an 8 x zoom facility, which enables the user to take high quality photographs that can be uploaded to a PC. This model is also capable of video recording and has a built in video playback feature; there is a removable memory card that allows the user to save photos and print them out at home when convenient. A music player has also been added which has the capacity to store up to 150 tracks. However, the UK version of this phone does not carry the Itunes software that its American counterpart conveniently features. The phone has MP3 ringtones already installed and there are many more available to download and the sound quality is exceptional.
SCREEN3 technology is a feature of the V3i and this allows the user to keep up to date with all the latest worldwide news, sporting events & entertainment; SCREEN3 is instant with a zero click access to all the information and there is no need for the user to search too far for any current events. The quad band technology allows the user to roam across countries and continents with ease, while the Bluetooth technology allows the user to have a wire free connection at any time. The phone has a selection of games installed there are many others to download from the Internet. High quality wallpapers and screensavers can be displayed on the internal screen and the user can personalise the phone by downloading many others that are available on the Internet.
On the whole this phone has been well received, with most users agreeing that it is a stylish upgrade from the Razr V3. Many of the problems that have been reported have been specific faults on one particular phone, rather than general problems with this particular model and on most occasions contact with the manufacturers have solved the problems. Overall this phone has everything that most users would need in a mobile, its easy to use and straightforward to navigate around the menus and with stylish looks and fantastic features this is definitely one of the best mobile phones on the market.
